Kyle Clinkscales
Coach Kyle has built the most successful kids’ program in the nation. He has
had more climbers on the United States National Youth Team than any other
coach. Kyle was nominated and approved as the U.S. National Youth Climbing
Team Head Coach for the 2003-2007 teams that competed at the World
Championships in Bulgaria, Scotland, China, Austria and Ecuador.
His “Team Texas” competitive youth climbing team won the honor of Youth Climbing Team National Champions in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007.
He is the director of one of the longest running kids’ rock climbing programs in the United States and the longest running program in Texas. Coach Kyle has been climbing for 18 years. At that time, Kyle realized that climbing was the perfect sport to combine his dream to build confidence and self-esteem in kids as a coach.
He researched and found that there wasn’t another climbing program being offered to kids in Texas. He approached Exposure Rock Gym with the idea, and his dream materialized.
